  1. Potato Juice for a glowing face

This is probably the handiest thing in the kitchen and effective in tan removal as well as brightening up your skin cells.

  • 1 medium sized potato

Peel the potato and grate the potato. Once done, squeeze the juice out of the grated potato and dab it on your face and neck with a cotton swap. Allow it to dry for about 20 minutes and wash your face with water and pat dry. This procedure makes you look refreshed.

  1. Natural scrub to remove whiteheads

This is one of the best natural scrubs available to mankind. It removes whiteheads and blackheads and helps people with acne problems as well.

  • 2 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
  • ½ a lemon squeezed to juice
  • A flat bottom container with boiling hot water

Mix the a fore-mentioned ingredients till it forms a paste. Kindly note that the mixture should have toothpaste consistency and if the desired effect has not been achieved with ½ a lemon squeezed, add water. Too much lemon juice can cause irritation on the skin. Apply on face and neck and let it dry for about 20 minutes. Wash with warm water and pat dry.

Those who have severe whitehead / blackhead problems can use steam to get rid of them completely. Boil water in a flat container. Keep the container on a table (do not try to hold it since dropping the water can cause more damage). Bow your head above the steam rising from the water and cover your head with a towel. Gently blow to hasten the process. Once you find the steam condensed on our face you can use a cotton swab to wipe over the affected area (generally T zone: forehead and nose) and wipe clean. Pat dry and apply moisturizer on your face.
