India’s Manushi Chhillar Wins Miss World 2017: Heartiest congratulations to India’s Manushi Chhillar, the winner of the popular Miss World 2017 crown at a majestic affair in China. She has brought an end to India’s arid spell of 17 years at the top procession competition.

Manushi Chhillar, 20-year-old girl from Haryana is a medical student, ultimately competed with top five contestants from France, England, Mexico and Kenya.

Stephanie Del Valle, the last year’s Miss World winner from Puerto Rico presented the crown to Manushi Chhillar. Pageant’s official Twitter handle and Facebook page also declared this auspicious announcement. The tweet said “The winner of Miss World 2017 is Miss India Manushi Chhillar.”

Miss Mexico Andrea Meza as second runner up while Miss England Stephanie Hill was announced as first runner up of the competition.

Chhillar was asked a question as a part of the competition in the top 5 round. The question was – Which profession according to her deserved the highest salary?

Her answer to the question – “I think a mother deserves the highest respect and when you talk about salary it’s not always about cash but I feel it’s the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life. All mothers sacrifice so much for their kids. So, I think it is the job of a mother that deserves the highest salary.”

Manushi Chhillar is a trained Indian classical dancer, passionate for outdoor sports. She enthusiastically participates in bungee jumping, paragliding, scuba diving besides sketching and painting. Her aim is to become a Cardiac Surgeon and wants to contribute in the country’s rural areas development with a non-profitable chain of hospitals.
